Are you looking to start a new business or get small business financing for your current business? Did you know that there is a wealth of FREE small business resources right here in the Houston area? In this post, I wanted to share with your some of the tools that are available to you as a current or potential small business owner.
The Houston area is home to an organization called SCORE, or the Service Corps of Retired Executives, that provides an large amount of incredibly valuable business resources. SCORE provides FREE tools for every step of the business development process, so you can find help throughout the process of starting and stabilizing your new business.
As an example of one of the great resources that SCORE provides, I wanted to share this SCORE Business Plan Template with you. One of the most important steps you can take before meeting with a small business lender is to create a great business plan. The lender will use your business plan to evaluate the viability and stability of your business and decide whether or not you will be approved for a small business loan. In addition to this template, you can view examples of good business plans, as well as a checklist for the rest of the steps of your journey as a small business owner.
